Puracle Omega-3 Without the Fish Burps

Wild-caught fish oil, 550mg EPA and 350mg DHA a serving, and two capsules a day instead of four.

  • No fish burps: and no fishy aftertaste - the reason most people abandon a bottle, and the only thing on this page you can check on day one.
  • Two a day, not four: sixty capsules is thirty days, so a bottle lasts the month it says it does.
  • Wild-caught: never farmed, and every batch carries a certificate of analysis covering the omega-3 profile and heavy metals.
  • 550mg EPA and 350mg DHA: printed per serving, because those two numbers are the ones worth comparing and a large fish-oil figure on its own is not.

Made in small batches, and we say where each one is up to.

first one in years that doesn't give me fish burps

I'd basically given up. Every fish oil I tried gave me fish burps by mid-morning and I'd taste it all day. This one doesn't. I take both capsules with breakfast and that's the end of it. Been on it about six weeks now and I've finished the bottle, which is more than I can say for the last three I bought.

bought it for my husband, now i take it too

He gave up on fish oil years ago because of the fishy burps and I couldn't get him to try another one. He's been fine on this. Two a day with dinner and no complaints, which for him is a rave review. I started taking it as well and ordered the three-bottle the second time.

two a day is the part i appreciate

My last one wanted four capsules a day and I was forever running out. Two is easy to remember and the bottle actually lasts the month it says it does. EPA and DHA are printed right on the front, which made comparing it against what I was taking straightforward.

How to take it

Two capsules a day with a meal. Food matters more than time of day - fish oil sits better on a full stomach, and taking it with something fatty helps. One bottle is sixty capsules, so thirty days.

What is actually in it

Each two-capsule serving gives 1500mg of fish oil, delivering 550mg EPA and 350mg DHA. The full Supplement Facts panel is on the bottle. We state EPA and DHA on the front because those are the numbers that mean something - a large fish oil figure on its own tells you how much oil is in the capsule, not how much of what you came for.

Why fish oil gives people burps, and what stops it

Fish burps are not really about fish. They are about oil that has started to turn - oxidized oil is what tastes off and what comes back up on you later. Fish oil kept fresh and taken with food is what most people find they can live with. If you have ever tasted a fish oil capsule again at eleven in the morning, that is the thing this is trying to solve.

Where the fish comes from

Wild-caught, never farmed. Every batch comes with a certificate of analysis covering the omega-3 profile and heavy metal testing.

Who should not take this

Anyone allergic to fish. If you are pregnant or nursing, on blood thinners, or have surgery coming up, talk to your doctor before starting - fish oil is worth asking about specifically. The capsule shell is gelatin, so this is not suitable if you avoid it.

Shipping and the guarantee

Sixty days to change your mind. If it burps on you, or you simply do not get on with it, tell us and we will refund you - you do not need to send back an empty bottle to prove anything.

For everyone who has quietly given up on fish oil.

Fish burps are not really about fish

They are about oil that has started to turn. Oxidized oil is what tastes off and what comes back up on you two hours later, and it is the single reason people decide fish oil is not for them. Fresh oil is clear and pale gold. That is the whole difference and it is visible in a glass.

The two numbers worth comparing

A big fish-oil figure on the front of a bottle tells you how much oil is in the capsule. It does not tell you how much of what you actually came for. EPA and DHA are the numbers to hold two bottles up against, so they are printed on the front of this one: 550mg and 350mg per two-capsule serving.

EPA and DHA are printed per serving on every bottle.

Two capsules, thirty days

Sixty capsules a bottle at two a day. The bottle lasts the month it claims to, which sounds like a small thing until you have run out of a four-a-day bottle three weeks in for the second time running.

What fresh oil actually looks like

Fish burps come from oil that has turned. Fresh fish oil is clear and pale gold - cloudy, dark or sedimented oil is the stuff you taste again at eleven in the morning. It is the simplest thing to check and the reason this is the bottle people finish.

What to expect

First capsule
Two with a meal. What you are checking for is what does not happen an hour later.
Day 2-3
No fish burps mid-morning, no fishy aftertaste, no reason to put it off. This is the only thing on this page you can verify straight away, and it is the thing that decides whether a bottle gets finished.
Week 1
It stops being something you have to talk yourself into. Most people who give up on fish oil give up on a particular bottle, not on the idea.
Week 3
Most of the way through the first bottle, and roughly where it stops being a decision and starts being a habit.
Month 1
One bottle done. Nothing dramatic announces itself at a month and we would rather say so than invent something. What has changed is that you are actually taking it.
Ongoing
It only does anything on the days you take it. Nothing banks up if you stop, which is the entire argument for the three and five bottle sizes.

Questions people ask first

Will this give me fish burps like other brands have?

That is the whole reason this one exists. Fish burps come from oil that has oxidized, so freshness is what we buy on and what we test for. Take it with a meal rather than on an empty stomach and most people find it is a non-issue. If it does burp on you, the sixty days covers you.

How many a day, and how long does a bottle last?

Two capsules daily. A bottle holds sixty, so thirty days. The three and five bottle sizes are three and five months.

How much EPA and DHA am I actually getting?

550mg of EPA and 350mg of DHA per two-capsule serving, from 1500mg of fish oil. Those two numbers are the ones worth comparing between brands.

Can I take it with blood thinners, or before surgery?

Ask your doctor before you start, and tell them you are taking fish oil if you have a procedure coming up. This is a question for the person who prescribed your medication, not for us - and nothing here is a reason to change anything you have been prescribed.

Does it need to go in the fridge?

No. Somewhere cool and dark is plenty - a cupboard rather than a sunny windowsill. Keep the cap on tight, which is the same reason: air is what turns the oil.

Does what it says, but it's still a capsule

No burps and no fishy aftertaste, which is what I wanted and what I got. I will say they're a normal-sized capsule, not small - if you struggle swallowing things this won't solve that. And nothing about it feels dramatic. It's fish oil that I can actually keep taking, and that was the whole problem I was trying to fix.

Finally finished a bottle

That's genuinely the review. I've bought fish oil maybe five times and abandoned it every time by week two. This is the first bottle I've got to the end of. Went for the five-bottle on the reorder because I know I'll keep taking it now.
